Marbling Classes

Overview

I teach private marbling classes for groups of 4 - 10 people.

Classes take place in-person at the home of the person hosting. I will drive to you from Akron, Ohio.

All materials are provided —just bring your joy and your creativity!

And if you worry whether or not you have any of that, have no fear…

I guarantee I can bring it out of you!

It’s my pleasure to bring you this mesmerizing art form and to have each member leave with a collection of one-of-a-kind marbled papers that can be used for handmade cards, gift tags, or however you want!

More important details

Classes run around two hours-- three hours max.

Please see about booking your class AT LEAST 2-3 weeks before the day you want to schedule.

We will need a spacious room to have the class. Having quick access to a sink also important, because we need to rinse off each paper after it’s been marbled. We also will need a place to lay out our papers to dry flat. I provide vinyl tablecloths for the purpose of drying papers. This is necessary, because wet marbled papers will stick to other surfaces.

I’ll show up to the hosting location about 30-45 minutes in advance to set up. All materials including paper, paint, trays, and tablecloths for drying are provided. Each participant will have a tray of their own. Classes begin with demonstrations and an explanation of the marbling process which takes about 30 minutes.

NOTE - Due to the nature of this technique, all marbled papers must be completely dry before they can be handled. You'll have to leave your papers with the Host to dry overnight and pick them up at a later date. It’s the Host’s job to coordinate the dissemination of papers after the class.

Pricing and Payment

Class prices are determined by the number of attendees including the Host.

A deposit of 1/2 the total price for class is required after class details are settled. Payments can be made via PayPal (clairemarksart@gmail.com) or a mailed check.

The remainder of the total price for class is due at the time of the class.

My maximum radius of business is 50 miles from south Akron, OH. Please consider this before reaching out to schedule a class.

Cancellation Policy

If the Host needs to cancel a class for any reason, their initial deposit will not be refunded. There is no fee to reschedule a class.

In the event of an emergency or illness, and I have to cancel a class, the Host will be refunded for the full amount of their initial deposit.
